Liotrivi Historical Mansion & Boutique Hotel

http://www.liotrivi.info

The mansion's history begins during the Byzantine years as a winery. In the cellars of the mansion, grape juices were turned to the famous Malvasia wine ready to travel to the rest of the world.

In the middle of the 18th century, the mansion renovated to accommodate Turkish rulers. After the Greek Revolution finished, the estate was home to the Ritsos family for more than 100 years. The famous Greek poet Yannis Ritsos was a resident of the estate for the period 1909-1929.

From 1930, it operates as a traditional olive oil mill for about 40 years and as a warehouse until 2004 where the restoration process began. From 2009 the estate operates as a boutique hotel and offers you unique moments of tranquility and relaxation.
